Online: Getting the Most out of Mastery Connect. Learn how to create and use shared curriculum maps and common assessments. Learn about the different reports that are available to help analyze student mastery and how to use the information to inform instruction.

Online: Ideas for Teaching Math from The Teaching Channel. The Teaching Channel is an online resource of “best practices” videos. Teachers may complete as many as ten modules to earn re-licensure points.

Benchmark Bootcamp Classes. These grade-level specific classes will cover intervention resources for the most recent benchmark and preview content for the next benchmark. There are three classes (Benchmark 1 Post/Benchmark 2 Pre; Benchmark 2 Post/Benchmark 3 Pre; and Benchmark 3 Post/SLO) that are 1.5 hours each.
Recommended Grade Level: K-6 Recommended Time: Four 1.5-Hour Sessions

K−6 Word Problems. This course will explore problems solving strategies and problem types for all operations.
Recommended Grade Level: K-6 Recommended Time: 7 Hours

K−6 Geometry and Measurement. This course explores the highlights of Kindergarten−6th grade geometry and measurement relationships and progressions. Instruction will focus on developing conceptual, representational, and procedural understanding.
Recommended Grade Level: K-6 Recommended Time: 7 Hours

K−2 Addition and Subtraction. This course will cover K−2nd grade Addition & Subtraction progressions. Instruction will focus on developing conceptual, representational, and procedural understanding. Activities and resources for classroom use will be explored and developed. An excellent opportunity for team collaboration, PLCs, and RTI.
Recommended Grade Level: K-2 Recommended Time: 7 Hours

3rd−6th Multiplication and Division. This course will cover 3rd−6th grade multiplication and division progressions. Instruction will focus on developing conceptual, representational, and procedural understanding. Activities and resources for classroom use will be explored and developed. An excellent opportunity for team collaboration, PLCs, and RTI.

3rd−6th Fractions Progressions. This course will cover 3rd−6th grade fraction progressions. Instruction will focus on developing conceptual, representational, and procedural understanding. Activities and resources for classroom use will be explored and developed. An excellent opportunity for team collaboration, PLCs, and RTI.

Secondary Math SAGE Training. This course will provide teachers with tools and information to help their students prepare to take the SAGE exam.
Recommended Grade Level: 7-12 Recommended Time: 2 Hours

Book Study: Principles to Actions-Ensuring Mathematics Success for All. “NCTM's landmark publication Principles to Actions connects research with practice. Specific, research-based teaching practices that are essential for a high-quality mathematics education for each and every student are combined with core principles to build a successful mathematics program at all levels.” Principles to Actions offers guidance to teachers, mathematics coaches, administrators, parents, and policymakers.”
Recommended Grade Level: 7-12 Recommended Time: 4-8 Hours

Book Study: Mathematical Mindsets. “Mathematical Mindsets is an important guide to the information, techniques, and activities that can be put in place to make math more enjoyable and achievable for all students. Mathematical Mindsets shows how the entire approach to math teaching and learning…needs to be changed to help students realize the joys of learning and understanding math.”
Recommended Grade Level: 7-12 Recommended Time: 4-8 Hours

Using Rich Mathematical Tasks. Rich mathematical tasks that have multiple entry points are crucial to successful math learning. Model tasks can be done for any subject from 7th grade math up to Secondary Math III.
Recommended Grade Level: 7-12 Recommended Time: 4-8 Hours

Using Math Software (Handy Graph, Math Illustrations, Geogebra). This can be tailored to meet the needs of you and your teachers in helping them get started in using math software to create math graphics for tests and assignments. Geogebra can also be used with students to help them explore geometric concepts.
Recommended Grade Level: 7-12 Recommended Time: 1-2 Hours
