This training will be held at the ASB, 7905 S. Redwood Road, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. in PDC Room 103 (Entrance B)
The Heggerty curriculum is "a systematic program of daily lesson plans that focus on six to eight phonemic awareness skills per level. Lessons also include activities to develop letter and sound recognition, phoneme-grapheme connection, and language awareness." This curriculum is used for tier one phonemic awareness practice in kindergarten, first grade, and second grade in Jordan School District. The training's purpose is to familiarize educators with the program and provide opportunities for them to practice the skills.
