Full course description
Multilingual students bring to the classroom a variety of school experiences, native languages, and knowledge. How can we best support these diverse learners in language development and in understanding of math concepts and skills, particularly if we do not speak their language ourselves? We will define translanguaging and see specific strategies for translanguaging in mathematics that can be used in your classroom tomorrow to promote learning for MLLs.
