The JSD Portrait of a Graduate Proficiency Scales Hub provides K-12 educators with convenient access to district-developed proficiency scales aligned with the six Portrait of a Graduate characteristics: Curious Thinkers, Creative Problem Solvers, Engaged Citizens, Empathetic Communicators, Resilient Lifelong Learners, and Responsible Teammates.
This is not a traditional course with required modules, assignments, or a defined completion sequence. Instead, it is an ongoing resource hub that educators can visit whenever they need support incorporating the Portrait of a Graduate characteristics into teaching and learning.
Educators may use these resources to:
• Clarify what each Portrait of a Graduate characteristic can look like across grade levels.
• Plan learning experiences that intentionally strengthen these important skills.
• Support student reflection, feedback, and conversations about growth.
• Connect academic learning with the skills students need for success within and beyond the classroom.
