2026 Principal Directed PD .5 Credit

Principals may grant up to 2 credit hours of salary level change credit to any teacher for work done outside of contract time to support a school goal that addresses student learning.  This credit is granted and administered according to Policy AA421 - Local Professional Improvement Committee as District-approved credit.

The credit hours are determined as follows:

  .5 credit hours =   7 hours of work outside of contract time towards school goals

1.0 credit hour  = 14 hours of work outside of contract time towards school goals

1.5 credit hours = 21 hours of work outside of contract time towards school goals

2.0 credit hours  = 28 hours of work outside of contract time towards school goals

This work should be directed by the principal and must be done outside of contract time. It could include preparation work for PLCs, working with an instructional coach, planning and preparing for District initiatives, planning and preparing for school initiatives.
